  • I think they are also called shoe trees. They are basically these things which you put into your shoes and adjust them either horizontally or vertically to slightly stretch your shoes. Not sure how long you leave them in for though - a week or so, until you feel they are the right size.

They have them on Ebay and sell them in Timpsons too. I think you need the two-way stretcher for us wide-feeters! ;-)

Thanks, will look out for one. I tried on the shoes last night and they were uncomfortable even sitting down in them for 15 minutes, let alone walking. To compare them, when I took them off I tried on my most uncomfortable shoes ever and that was like putting slippers on compared to the Delicious ones!! Still keeping them though......

  • You sound like me! I was almost pleased when the 7's were too big for me, as I knew the next size up were out of stock on Amazon - and I really love them! My mum swears by the shoe stretcher - they must work or they wouldn't sell them.

Thanks so much to OP (and for all contributors on this thread so far for making me laugh :p makes me feel I'm not the only shoeholic out there ) My lusciously pink shoes arrived today - they are fan-flaming-tastic ! Am normally 5 and a half, but ordered the 6 and thy are fine - especially once I get those gel things in my shoes. My arthritic knees were aching after 5 mins of poncing about in them, but DAMN I looked gorgeous :rotfl:and all for just over £16 delivered.

I have found religion and my religion is shoes !!

I went and found them in John Lewis today - they are £75 in there. I tried on the 7 and they really slip off when I walk in them but they are a much better fit at the front (not as tight). On that basis I have decided to keep the 6's and borrow my mum's shoe stretcher and hope that does the trick - the things we ladies do for shoes eh?

One of the 7's slipped off at the back for me too but I think it must have been a shoe that has been tried on the most.
So my size 7 pink shoes arrived today and they are luverly and they fit perfectly so my original idea must have been correct.
Would have loved the 7 in Black so going to keep my eyes peeled for them.

  • I made the poor girl in John Lewis bring me two different pairs of 6's and three pairs of 7's to compare - and the result was the same, I must have odd-sized feet! Strange, but I'm sure they were fine before I was heavily lumbering on them around throughout my two pregnancies!

Clop clop we shall go, looking LOVELY clop clop, and also and at the same time mysteriously THINNER too.

When I tried mine on, DS (age 9) said I looked thin, so it's true - they ARE magic!! :j

ps wearing them out tonight so if you never hear from me again it's because I didn't last a whole evening in them!
