£30 amazon voucher for opening a Citibank account

Options
Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster.....

I've just opened a Citibank current account, and they have a 'recommend a friend' offer until 31 Dec 2004. If I refer someone to Citibank, and they open a current account, then they give both you and I a £30 Amazon gift voucher! Sounds like a good deal for me...

To open the account, you must have a minimum income of £15,000. There's no minimum monthly pay in, and I think the minimum balance is £1.

Tell me your name, address, and a contact phone number, then I can enter your details. They'll send out an account pack, and once the account is open, they'll send out the vouchers.

Scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours??

The following list shows the criteria for opening a Citibank Account
All applicants must be over 18 years of age.

You must either: Earn over £20,000 annually and pay your salary into your account monthly, OR
Earn over £30,000 annually and pay your salary into your account monthly or make an initial deposit of £2,000*.

Cant find anything about Amazon vouchers at all.
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The vouchers are for the recommendation, going to both myself and whoever opens the account as a result of my recommendation. You don't get the vouchers for opening an account off your own back.

As for the salary details, I think that you might be looking at the wrong account type. The account is called a Direct Current Account

    (see the link - http://www.citibank.co.uk/uk/citibankdirect/direct_b/index.htm?source=2341).

The min balance is definitely only £1, with an income of £15,000 (but no regular pay-in required).

I've done this guys and they didn't give vouchers to the person I recommended :o

... Instead they just put £30 straight into his account ::)
