Cleaned up credit files

I have just received my final acknowledgement letter from the last of my ex-creditors that had not updated my credit files correctly, stating they have amended my records (now with the correct information).

This time last year I was just coming to terms with the fact that I had just been made BR and was awaiting the call from the OR. Fortunately with the wonderful help from this forum my Bankruptcy journey went Very Very smoothly, using all the advice on here certainly helped and the support has been second to none.

Now that my credit files have been adjusted to show all the correct details I can draw a line under this whole episode. The hardest part for me was actually accepting the fact that I should proceed with the bankruptcy and worried endlessly about what others would think. Well my true friends offered support and understood that it could happen to anyone, the not so good friends were a little less sympathetic, the world didn't stop and the gates of hell didn't open for me!!:rotfl:

I have thanked the experts on here many times now and would just like to say to anyone who needs to file for bankruptcy and is dithering, take heart from all the people on here who have gone before you, read the many threads similar to this one saying how scary it appeared, but in reality it was not so bad. Life is too short to spend all your time worrying what the next post will bring or not being able to eat through lack of funds or appetite caused by overwhelming debt.

Bankruptcy could not be described as the best thing I have ever done, but sometimes it sort of feels that way (if you know what I mean). The last twelve months have flown by and I now feel more in control of my life. I have learned to budget and can even put a little cash away occasionally ( I love it when there are five pay days in a month).

Good luck to anyone who is just starting and well done to all those that have come out the other side intact, but most of all THANK YOU to all the regular posters whose guidance and compassion knows no bounds
