Cheap dumbells at Boots £2.25 for 6 and tree

Ive just been to Boots (Harlequin, Watford) and bought a 12 KG dumbell tree. it is a se of six dumbbells; TWO 1KG; TWO 2KG; and TWO 3KG. with dumbell tree which they all sit nicely on. It was priced as £2.25 which I thought was a bargain.
Similar in argos is £15.
They had loads and were with all the exercise stuff!

They were on the ground floor of the shop. The exercise stuff i s at the back on the left hand side. There are loads of ab toners etc all piled up, but nothing is particulary advertised well with prominent prices. The dumbells are on the second shelf up there. I'm sure they were alot more expensive but ?ordered too many for Christmas, however not advertised as such.

any idea how to find out where the larger boots stores are?
the store locator on the boots.com website doesnt seem to allow u to search for that info.

update: i rang boots headoffice on 01159506111 then got put through to customer service department.

they said theyve got 3 sets in liverpool st station store (london) 0207 374 0092,
and 1 set in the picadilly store also in london (didnt get the number for that store)

none in croydon or bromley. might be some in watford + guildford tho.

Just popped in there and they had no idea what I was talking about

Anyone got a link to the item on the Boots site.. I've tried searching for it but not had any luck. I want to phone CS and ask if some other stores have it but don't want to appear completely stupid by asking for "the really cheap dumbells"

That's an understatement!!! I have just spent the best part of 3 days trying to undo what clicking on this link has done (silly me, I didnt scroll down far enough to see the warning!). The crux of the matter is it installs a backdoor Trojan onto your computer which, according to Microsoft Antispyware is VERY SEVERE and effectively disables any security. The main problem I had was that when I went into my Internet Banking site I was being asked to give my FULL security number via a false popup window which looked every bit like the proper popup. My bank NEVER asks for the full security number, and so I became wary and disconnected. Through a series of Anti Virus and Anti Spyware scans, together with a System Restore back to a previous date, I have managed (hopefully!) to weed out the offending files. I hope this helps other readers to be VERY AWARE of such links....I know that from now on I certainly will!
