just wanted ti let others know that the first call i had from or was friendly so dont worry too much (as i had been doing)--went br 8th jan and had call from or 4 days later- they simply asked if there was an urgent thing such as bailiff or court dates that they needed to sort out-my answer was no- then they asked if i had money for living-i told them the co op cashminder i opened a month before br date was was post br and all my money goes into it and my bills go out-they said thats fine they will let co op know that they are not interested in it and i can keep using it-they said they are sending letter to me and it will tell me what i need to send to them and arranged phone interview for 6th feb--they only asked me to send a years bank statements (have sent 6 months cos thats all i have) and any credit agreements/letteers or bill (sent none as all from 2004 and dont have) and had to sign form saying i understood my obligations as undischarged bankrupt and get it witnessed--just waiting for 6th feb now--wanted to share experience for those worried about it all

Good I'm glad it went well :T
The bank account thing is what I keep wondering about, can't work out wether you should open a new account before BR on the day of BR or after....
When I go BR I will owe my bank on OD and CC......so I can't let them near my wages or else I won't be able to afford rent and priority bills......if I opened a new account a couple of months before BR would they freeze it.....if I owed nothing to the new bank would they just say they had no interest in it........

We opened our co-op cashminder 1 month before br and it was never frozen. We informed the or it was our bank account post br and they did the rest. Oh we also showed it in the br forms but we *it and put a note in that it was for post bankruptcy use. I have to admit I was a little worried before the first wages after br went in - just in case it was frozen but it was fine.

We are going BR on 5th Feb. We also have opened a co-op cashminder account for the same, nice to know it will be ok. You never know what's going to happen.
Where in the country and what court are you guys?0 -
Glad it went well for you, but you still cant help worrying. Just be glad when it's all over. Feb 3rd 2009 for me.0

Just to warn you, your Coop account should be okay but the OR can freeze it. I've only been aware that has happened twice since I've been on this forum and both times it was in Brighton. My advice would be open it pre-BR by all means however make sure there is a zero balance on BR day as that money could be taken (unlikely but would you want to take that risk?)! As they say, forewarned is forearmed.
