Just had a call

Just had a call from one of the credit card companies who I now can't afford to pay.......CCCS have said my only soloution is BR......
What I wanted to say about this credit card company is that £872.00 of the debt isn't even mine.....long story but I moved in with someone lived there for 6 months.....didn't work out had to move out fast.....but my stuff was all over the place so I missed a box that had some personal stuff in, long and short of it was that one of my cards was in there with pin no.......well the ex's son found it and drew out £800 pound in a couple of weeks plus bought some stuff on the internet.......I did'nt notice the card was missing because I never used it and had only used it once to transfer a balance to it.......anyway long and short of it was credit card company said I was responsible as I hadn't safeguarded my account and the only way they could do something was if I prosecuted.....I have received £200 back but no more....so I reckon I couldn't prosecute now anyway........
But it's funny that in the past my credit cards have been stopped to check if its me if I have tried to pay for things such as car repairs and others have written to me when they see that I have spent or drawn money out........this credit card company didn't, even though they knew it had never been used apart from a balance transfer............
Funny now that I have stopped paying them they ring constanly......
Oh well you live and learn

Hi guitarjam. Technically it is your debt - I can see why you don't want to prosecute and now that you're going bankrupt there isn't much point anyway.
When are you likely to go BR? I stopped paying my creditors 11 months before I went BR and just didn't answer my phone between 8am-9pm and didn't answer the mobile to any 0845/0870 numbers.

you could try prosecuting but i bet the cops say its a "civil matter", or tell the CC and ask for a form to cancel the transactions, not that it will change your circumstances much.0
