Br and rented property

We are probably going BR soon and have already found a property to rent (private). Hopefully when the landlord finds out we won't get booted out. Will been BR affect the address, just thinking if that will sway the landlords decision?

Comments

  • I work for a lettings agency, the main reason they dont accept BR's is because of the credit checks. The agency I work for do offer ways around it, eg if someone would act as a guarantor for the tenant or if the Tenant paid the 6 months rental up front. So they will allow BR's to be in a property, The BR is for the person not the house. There should be no reason why your LL should boot you out, he may ask you to pay more cash up front though. Most people who go BR change drastically, they become more careful with money so should be a safer bet! Plus they have no other debts so should find the rent easier to find :j
