HFC form

Hi good people,
I recently sent my creditor (HFC) subject access request using a template. They wrote back enclosing a form for me to fill. It rquires my address history for 5 years, copies of my passport and drivers licence. They would only start processing the SAR when they receive this form. They also reckon that the 40 days would begin after they receive the form. I also wrote to the DCA (Capquest). They have not been able to produce the agreement since Nov. 28 2008.
I don't think I need to fill in the HFC form as I enclosed the statutory £10 processing fee. I smell rat as they want my address going back 5 years and copies of passport and drivers licence. What should I do?

    Hi Kickit

I had to send proof with one of my SAR requests as well and I assumed they should comply within 40 days as from your letter........unless someone can confirm otherwise.

What we sent was a Council Tax Annual letter, the one that shows all the payments for the year, as this as details of the name and address details, and a copy if I remember rightly of my electric bill.
Can they not just accept a photocopy of your drivers licence (papercopy) ?

If you get problems from these, I would be inclined to contact the ICO who are the Information Commissioners office here, or contact them anyway and see what advice they give you on this.;)
    Check this out here:

Check out the link and there should be some contact numbers on that site as well, good luck and please let us know how you get on.;)
