self assessment help: rental losses from last year not carried forward

Nearly used HMRC own system this year for first time, but for the sake of £15 ( Ftax) I think a established 3rd party off line option is better .
as its a c/fwd figure and not a figure that will affect tax bill this yr, just make comment in the additional notes section, and then keep a note for next yrAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I've also had BTL losses for the past 2 years. I presume that now the interest rates have fallen I will make a small profit and that the this will be offset against the losses. I still don't understand how, when I completed my S.A. online it worked out that I owed a large amount of tax. I thought the PAYE system dealt with this?0
