After reading about the mortgage exit release fee on this site, I decided to put pen to paper, I drafted up the sample letter as demonstrated my Martin:money: on Monday this week, posted 1st class Tuesday, and bingo.. a cheque for £70.00 arrived on the door mat this morning (Saturday). :rotfl: so, for the cost of a 1st class stamp, my bank balance is £70 healthier. :T
The Building Society is The Newcastle. I have also done the same letter to Northern Rock & C&G, but not had a reply as yet, although it is early days. Watch this space..
