Question 2 (Are you aware of any of these CSR activities undertaken by the following UK supermarkets?) forces you to give a positive answer - there isn't a "No" option if you're not aware of any of those CSR activities.
  • taxiphil don`t be so cynical, you should know supermarkets are not there to make a profit but just to be nice and give us all the best they possibly can.

Strangely enough, both Aldi and Lidl are there to ensure that the three richest Germans don't run out of billions any time soon.*

And they're still cheaper than Tesco. Must be the savings on CSR.

My company is also big on CSR, it has been flavour of the year for the past couple of years. Difference is that they manufacture weapons! Interesting to balance supermarket CSR with my company is doing.

    Good luck.

Done, Alisona - good luck with the other assignments, too.

Another poster has mentioned the 'forced to answer' factor - I felt this, too.

I would look in at Morrison's, Asda or Sainsbury's, were one near. As it was, I had to rate 1/Poor as nearest equivalent to Don't Know, which is probably unfair(like Life).

Seeing a Morrison's advt. yesterday for lemons and oranges at 50p prompted me to check for my nearest one.

Waitrose will always take the ethical/local crown and Co-op are being more apparent about their stance.
