If it goes to a DCA, then obviously supply them with the same budget etc as you supplied the original creditor with.
Whether or not you supplied the OC with a budget sheet, you're under NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to provide an I&E to ANYONE other than the court requesting it.

I didn't say you were under any legal obligation to. I just think that it has helped me in negotiating payments with OC's and DCA's after my accounts have been defaulted.

I made the point for anyone reading the thread, oh, and I'd never advise anyone to give a creditor / DCA an I&E, it's none of there busines, simple as that.

If you go to court won't they have to see some kind of budget then though?

Yes, but that's for the court to decide, not some twopenny DCA, which is why I stated, don't send anyone other than a court an I&E.

Personally I'd rather try sort it out before it gets to court. I've got nothing to hide and if they're still not happy then take me to court. If I can delay court proceedings by providing information when requested I will. What I have shown them is that I am paying them all I can afford and that taking me to court won't change anything. That's my opinion anyway.

Good, and my opinion still stands for anyone reading who feels intimidated by any twopenny DCAs.

They have no more authority / power than your local milkman or bin man.

That's something I agree with. If they are being intimidating then I don't see why I should play ball either. I've been quite lucky with mine though. We've both been co-operative and all is going well.......so far.

I refuse to give DCA's my I&E. They've had all that from CCCS and nothing's changed so there is no point in sending another one. I had one DCA asking me for my bank statements and mortgage repayments and details of any savings if I had any - I refused to send as it's none of their business. Not even CCCS asked me for proof of my mortgage!

I've had a couple of default notices about this time last year and since then, nothing more.

I agree with 10past6 about not contacting Payplan or CCCS if you have legal issues as they tend to admit and not giving you the option to fight it. I wouldn't let CCCS know if I had received any legal papers.
