All you can do is demonstrate to the court that you cannot pay which if as you say you can prove income and expenditure, there is not a lot that can be done really....... you can't get blood from a stone, if it is not there, they can't take it.

Don't let any bailiffs in at any time if they do come and no one else should let them in either.

I think if there is no other way out, then the debt relief order is going to be the best thing for you but do call and check this with national debtline.

And just hang on in there ok. It won't be with you all of your life, it will get sorted!

    ok , hypathetical

    3 or 4 ccjs

no income , or prospect of income , and no assets

no funding to pay the companies

    what happens then ?

how long do they keep , watching you , will they right them off , or what?

i have read a lot of doccies online , most go on about monies being taken from wages , what happens if you are on benifits? , can this be touched?

is this an easier way than bancrupcy ?

    thanks

As far as I am aware, they cannot seize benefits as this is the minimum amount of money that the government says you need to survive so I think it is unlikely that you will lose any benefit payments. If it does get as far as ccj's - show the court your financial situation and offer £1 per month token payment to the creditor.

You can always write to each creditor telling them your situation and enclosing a financial statement and ask them to consider writing off the debt - but be prepared for an automatic rejection of this the first time you write if you do try it - you might need to request this more than once to get them to understand what your situation is. It might be worth a try but there is no guarantee that they will agree to write off any debts.

as long as your benefits are safely paid into an account with a bank you do not owe money to, there is no risk of you losing your money by it just being debited from your account.
