i get a bursary from my university (leeds) which helps a lot - most universities tend to have a surplus of "hardship" sorts of funds, or so i hear, so if you have a word with the student advice people at your university they should be able to help

i also work at a supermarket, and i'll be doing some overtime at another store in the area - is this possible for you, too?

finally, like others have said, £100 is a lot to spend on rent... my rent is £61.50 and that's considered rather pricey round these parts!

Hi Good luck with the PGCE, I know a couple of teachers and its a tough course.
Have you anything you can sell? Any old text books that you no longer need? How about a chat with your bank as they may be able to extend your overdraft till you start working.

ooh yes, selling books on https://www.greenmetropolis.com and amazon really helped me this term - if it's an expensive textbook that i'm pretty sure will sell, i put it on amazon.... anything else goes on greenmetropolis as they have a fixed price (£3 and sometimes a bit more for heavier books)
