Here's the response from Bidlegal today - take from it what you wish
Your tender on Bidlegal does not, unfortunately, appear yet to have had any bids from our registered law firms. This is unusual and, naturally, we're sorry that no bids were made. As a new service, we're working hard to ensure that all tenders receive bids.
We note that your tender expires tomorrow. As we state on our website, where no bids are made, even then we still try to help users with any alternative arrangements. If you would like any assistance (for example, to find an alternative law firm to do your work) please let us know.
Although your post on MoneySavingExpert clearly showed you were unhappy, we at least hope that our offer to assist with alternative arrangements demonstrates that we do take seriously the task of providing users with a service that meets their needs.
Thank you for using our service and, once again, we're sorry that you were not able to find a law firm through Bidlegal this time, and we do hope that you will consider using the service again in the future.0 -
We used conveyancing direct and they were fine. A few hiccups but available on the phone and all sorted for the fee they said it would be. Ok not the same as going to a regular solicitor but much cheaper and prepared to deal with the Scottish house buying laws too.
Would recommend them.

I am Richard Cohen, a qualified Solicitor and the Joint CEO of Epoq, the company behind www.MyLawyer.co.uk, and am posting here to clear up a few inaccuracies from previous posts:
- MyLawyer's legal services are backed by well known and respected UK law firm firms, who are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
- The website and associated firms therefore conform to all regulations including conflict checks and money laundering.
- MyLawyer services are great value compared to those from firms of a similar size, quality and reputation. Our research shows at least a 30% cost saving.
- Direct contact with a dedicated lawyer is provided for each service purchased. MyLawyer firms have multiple offices and are happy for clients to visit if their matter is quite complex.
- All MyLawyer documents are extremely thorough can be tried for free, without needing to register or buy first. Just click on the yellow Try for Free buttons to see how it works.

I recently had experience of the Bidlegal site and found it easy to use (especially for me). All I did was describe the work I wanted done. I was a little apprehensive as to what results I would get and was quite pleasantly surprised. Within a few days I had bids from a couple of law firms which turned out to be cheaper than one I had received from another firm. My biggest surprise was that one of them was a larger, well-known firm which I would not have thought to contact as I would have expected them not only to be too expensive, but would not have been interested in the work. All in all, a good move for me personally as I must speak as I find.http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_images/smilies/action-smiley-033.gif0
