halifax but to let consent- help? advise?

I have a mortgage with halifax...which is at 2.29% bank of england +0.79,I am planning to rent my house as I am goin away for about 2 years...i think i have a ltv of 60%,

Will halifax let me be on the same mortgage?and how long is the consentto let for? I WILL NEED IT FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS?i dnt want to change my mortgage deal as its a very good deal in the present market?
any body had same probs and how did they get round it..please help!!

    Each decision is based on your own circumstances. They're either going to say yes or no - give them a call and then you'll know for sure.

    As I understand it Halifax now have specific products that you transfer to when asking for Consent to Lease. They don't charge any Early Repayment Charges but defer them to be part of the new CTL deal.

    As Andy says ask them the question & see what they say
