Hi All,
From a mis-spent youth, I have 2 tattoos  . One on my chest and one on the top of my left arm which obviously I don't want showing on the wedding day.
I had found a woman in Bristol who does this (cut out an article from a bridal mag last year) but i've left 2 messages with her now and theres no reply so I can only assume she's gone out of business.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? I know theres a brand of make up/concealer which will cover it but I don't know what it's called.

I know that on the You And Your Wedding site they sell a cover up kit for tattoos etc. I have no idea how much, but if you find out what it is called you could check the price against similar stuff on ebay.0

what you need is stage make up. try screenface.com or any other media makeup brands. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

hey
I heard MAC cosmetics do something to cover tattoos, I just had a quick look and found this: MAC Concealer
It says it covers tattoos, but I'm afraid I have no experience of it. MAC are usually pretty good, so if you have a store near you it might be worth talking to someone there.
Hope that's some help0 -
im also interested in this as i have a tattoo on my back and dont want it visible on the wedding day. im growing my hair long and also the veil will cover it.
i remember at a friends wedding a few years ago, one of the bridesmaids had a tattoo on her arm, and they had bought the make-up to cover it - TBH it was still visible and looked like a black smudge.
i looked into laser removal and it was going to cost about £300 - would you consider it? i know its a lot of money and not very money saving - £20 for a tattoo and £300 to get it taken away!! i wish i'd never got mine!!

[FONT="]Hi,
There is a product called Dermablend which you can get on some of the shopping channels and in some chemists I think.
It is really good, when I have seen it advertised they show a half covered tattoo and it really does cover well. It is so good as it is used by people to cover birth marks on their face and you would never know.
I have used it myself for acne scars and it was very good and not too cakey and stiff like stage makeup can be (I also have used this as do armature shows on stage)
This is the link to their website:

I hope this helps

sarah-b8, that's the stuff I was thinking of, thank you!
daleigha - I know! I regret mine too but at the same time it's me. I just don't want it to be for that one day. Laser surgery isn't for me I don't think. The money is one thing but the other is is's supposed to be twice as painful as the original tattoos!! I've turned into a wuss in my old age:rotfl:
Thanks all for the help

I've been having laser treatment on two of my tattoos for a few years now. One is almost totally gone, the other is still very obviously there, but will only take a small amount of coverup rather than the loads it would've.
Dermablend is good for tattoo coverup.0 -
There's a product called Covermark I looked into using, but my dress covers all my tattoos. It's not stupidly expensive if you buy the tester kit on ebay or elsewhere, and it gives coverage for 24 hours.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

As a make-up artist myself, I'd agree Veil cover cream and Dermablend are the two of the best and are the ones I'd use....however the Rio set from Argos at £24.99 comes with an instructional DVD, all the brushes you'll need, a setting powder and has a good coverage...you'd manage with this x

Sorry don't know why the link is not clicky....but you can cut and paste
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Strangely eough, I have just bought a laser, and have started doing laser tattoo removal.
Not all colours can be removed.
Dual frequency Nd:YAG Q switched lasers (like wot I've got) can remove Black, blue and darker greens on one frequency, and reds/oranges on the other.
Ruby lasers are good for greens.
The paler pastile colours do not respond well to lasers, and nothing can remove yellow.
Fortunately, the lighter colours and yellows fade relatively quickly anyway.
Tattoos that are less than a year old don't respond well either.
So - the best ones to get removed are older, darker tattoos.
Removal can take 6-10 sessions which have to be between 6 weeks and 10 weeks apart.
It works by the laser light being absorbed by the pigment, and the energy absorbed explodes the pigment molecules into much smaler particles that can then be flushed away by the bodies immune system.
It's all quite interesting, and great fun to do! Makes a change from teeth!
It can sting a bit, but not much worse than having one done in the first place. It is possible to use a surface anaesthetic - but most people just put up with it.
Always check that the place you go for Laser tattoo removal (or any laser or IPL treatments) is Healthcare Commission registered - it's a legal requirement, but not all places are.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
