I hadn't had time to eat for 2 days as I'd been too busy. I had a meal tonight for the first time in 48 hours. There's lots of people out there needing help in different ways.

Not short of clients......I have had half a dozen clients this month, just nothing available to any of them, or declined, or other reasons why things didnt go ahead.

Eaxctly the same as you Mike.
Where as I used to place at least 8 out of every 10 enquiries, I now place 1 or 2 out of 10.
I'm not losing any clients though, and am creating a great deal of goodwill with them, advising them to do things that will benefit them ( stay with current lender on SVR, go to HSBC etc), but it does not pay the bills.

I know all those clients will transact business with me again when the market recovers..... but as you say, it is if we can survive long enough to still be there then.

I was preety prudent during the good times, so I have a bit of money put by to see me through these bad times, but it won't last forever.

My next step will be to keep the business ticking over on a part time basis, but look for another part time job or income stream to subsidise it.

Nice to hear the comments from the people who seem to appreciate what we do though :beer: .

Some people seem to think we are all fat cats who made a mint by screwing clients during the good times and are now deserving everything we get :eek:
