Wedding Ideas Needed

I got engaged 2 weeks ago and just starting to think about ideas for our wedding. We are thinking about getting married next May/June time but no date has been set yet.

I have so many ideas in my head but was hoping others might know of any good sites i could go for ideas, samples etc. I have bought some magazines but not found them very helpful.

Also, do you know any suppliers who send out brouchures for wedding dresses, favours etc

Look at Confetti.co.uk or hitched.co.uk for wedding ideas. Also the wedding fair season has started up again so look in your local paper to see if there are any in your area - entry to these is free, they have catwalk shows, samples of cake etc, you don't have to book anything, you can just look and talk to people.

Dress sales will take place in March and September when the bridal shops have a clear out to make way for new stock - these times coincide with the Bridal Trade Fair which takes place in Harrogate in March and September.

Try not to stress too much as it is early days. If you can try and book your wedding for a week day as opposed to a weekend as venues will be cheaper. Venues also get booked more quickly for weddings in May and June because these are the busiest months of the year to get married in...so you need to be thinking of setting the date for next year rather than this.

Right I am a member on the You and Your Wedding website forums. There are loads of good ideas to be had, but be warned the place seems a bit of a breeding ground for trolls!
