Buying extra certifiactes?

I am getting married in Cyprus and we receive one copy of our wedding certificate.
I have been compiling a list of companies who will need to be informed about my name change and they all request 'original document' which I take to be they want to see the real certificate not a photocopy.
I am worried about only having the one certifiacte and posting it around to everyone who needs to see it. Especially as I don't know how easy it is to get a copy later from cyprus.
So I am wondering should an extra copy or two be purchased when we get married so that we can keep one in the safe and the others can go to the companies?
Or am I being a worrier again!

I wouldn't post your original certificate - to change your bank details, go into your bank and show them the certificate. I think that when I got married (a long time ago now) that I photocopied the certificate and wrote a letter explaining that it was an exact facsimile of the document because I was worried about trusting the original document in the post. My name was changed without a problem.
