My 80 year old mother wants to travel from Bradford to Scarborough on 20 Feb (single). I think virgin and gner trains cover this journey. Cheapest I can get is £18.70. Anyone know a code to get the price down for her?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've had a quick look at this one. The route is covered by Northern Rail and First/Keolis Transpennine Express. £18.70 is the price for a single. Is this journey going to be a regular occurence?
The reason I ask, is that your mother can buy the Senior railcard for 20 quid. This drops the price of the train ticket to £12.35. 4 of those in the year, and it has paid for itself, plus any other train ticket she may happen to use.
I know it's paying out to (hopefully) get a benefit, but might be worth consideration.0 -
