in Scotland
Anyone in scotland on a debt management programme?I have been on the DFW board talking about how to manage big debts and the vast majority think I should go for a DMP.I think that DMP,s are very different in Scotland than in the rest of the country though and wonde rif anyone can confirm this.I have the understanding that in Scotland you cannot have debt written off like in the rest of the country and that creditors can have you forced to sell the house to pay them even if the debt is not secured and even after entering into a sort of DMP.
Scottish law basically makes sure that you repay what you owe and I think that is right.I dont want to try to get out of paying what we owe like the other UK law allows,we have had the goods or sevices and must pay for them whatever it takes.I just wanted to get clarification on the scottish DMP equivalent.
Is my understanding of the differences between DMP in scotland and the rest of the UK correct?

I'm not sure that a DMP is different but why not try these people.
