I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I've just gone to look for the student edition of MS Office in PC World, and although it is showing on the main page as being £98, if you reserve online to collect @ store, the actual price is just £54.03!
You can only collect @ store, and not have the item delivered, as you need to prove your student status at checkout. Too good a bargain to miss! though!!

If you are a student, with an ac.uk email address, the MS Ultimate Steal is cheaper option, and you get MS Ultimate (rather than the slimmed down MS Student Office).

Price: £38.95
Can be used on two computers.0 -
It does the job perfectly! The fact you can save docs in MS Office format makes it handy for printing work in uni as well! Bonus!0 -
OpenOffice is good, but to my knowledge it doesn't have a MS Publisher equivalent which now comes with the MS Office package. The MS Ultimate deal is superb, thanks for the info.0

just a reminder for all those who work for NHS (or know someone who does) and are therefore entitled to use nhsdiscounts.com, you can get it for under £18, or some NHS trusts may be able to purchase direct at same price. The only perk of the job:T0
