Hi, can anyone please tell me that any benefits that we receive ie, child tax, child benefit and housing benefit is that included as your income or not wondering if the or takes this in to account bit confused trying to work out if we go over the £99 surplus or not

child tax is classed as income, but they took child benefit out of ours.
Not sure about housing, as we are in the process of trying to get it, so OR said not to include it.

I'm not sure whether you list Housing Benefit as an income but I suspect you do because you'll need to say what your rent is - perhaps someone else can confirm this?

Either way, it shouldn't add to your surplus because Housing Benefit is only allowed to cover the rent that it pays plus up to a maxmium of £15 if your rent is below the listed average charged for your postcode and property type.
