I've got mine online and I think only employers can see it? At least I hope so!

Life has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters
  • best only put a throw away email address, unless you want strangers calling you at any time, trying to get your personal details.. or maybe even drawing you to fake interview, and ransacking your house!

i am also very wary about putting your address, for the same reason.

as far as i know the employment agencies and companies have to pay to advertise for jobs. Once they've paid they'll have access to people who are looking for jobs and their CV's.

if you want to be double sure just go to a jobsite and try and find somebody else's CV.

    Actually it is.

    However remove:
    1. your address
    2. your date of birth and age
    3. your marital status.

Your date of birth and age are not needed due to Age Discrimination Legislation.

And if you remove your address but leave the area and your phone numbers. If they want to know exactly who you are they will contact you by telephone and email first.

Your marital status is irrelevant and also leaving it off means it's harder to identify you.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

  • i think freezer meant dont put your phone number on an online CV- who knows where it may end up, and what ID theft may occur..
