Hiya everyone well our house is the last thing to sort now we are BR we have been in contact with mortgage company ( for those who dont know we moved in to rented accomadation in Nov and stopped payin Mortgage) they sent us a letter confirming we wish to down the VR route now the letter states they will not accept VR unless we forward them our new address ??? I rang them to ask why this is to which they responded "just in case we need further info from you?" to which i rreplied you have both our mobile numbers you can contact us via this method but NOPE they will NOT accept VR unless we give them a new address i really dont have to do this do i?? I said well does this mean it will have to be repossesssed in the normal way then he sais Yes and you should know you will incur further costs HELLO i have just told you we are Bankrupt

Really are these people on this planet ? Am i right to assume this will take a lot longer now ?

Yep. It may take a bit longer. So what. Email your OR anyway and let them know that your mortgage co wont accept vol repo, so it may take a bit longer for them to get a full figure to include in your BR. Just keep them up to date.

But don't worry about it. They have a policy to adhere to and they obviously are, even if it means extra cost to them. Remember that banks are run by computers now as humans with common sense cannot be trusted!

I would refuse to give them ( or any other creditor for that matter ) your new address. I sent back my Vol surrender form back to the Mortgage Co without a forwarding address. They phoned me today and never mentioned it at all. They must be oblivous to the fact you are BR, or its the wrong dept dealing with it. Most mortgage depts have a re-possession dept, this is completely different to credit control, ask to be put through to this dept.
  • I would not give them your new address - not a chance x
I cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!
