BoS payments
Am I the only BoS customer to experience difficulty making online payments. More often than not when I attempt to make a one off payment it is postponed to the next working day.
I would expect these payments to be faster payments (i.e. same day) but when they're postponed they're being paid on the old three-day bill payment cycle.
BoS tell me that they can only make faster payments if the receiving bank is willing to accept them but that doesn't explain why the payments can't go out the same day even if they take longer.
I'd be interested to hear if any other BoS customers are having similar problems.

Can't blame HBOS really, the roll out of the "instant" transfers only includes the big banks so far and is a banking system not a HBOS system. It works both ways, some times I can transfer money into HBOS instantly from HSBC, but Abbey seem to take forever.
Consider the people with some "banks" - the building societies can take at least 5 days if you're lucky!
Agree about being cr*p tho', we only use HBOS for joint account, and do all other bits with various companies. As with the Post Office, all they want to sell you life insurance or mobile phones cover.
From being a respected Scottish institution, to a joke. Mis-management.0 -
