OR just called, NT code and IPA...HELP!

I’m in such a fluster! Just had a telephone call from the OR. He asked me if I had gone onto an NT code yet. I told him yes, and he asked how much extra I was getting in my wages then – so I told him. At the end of the conversation, I asked him where this NT money is paid, and he said “same as with your IPA”.

Now, I haven’t had my IPA set up, and he basically put the phone down before I had a chance to ask him what was happening with it.

If I get to keep the IPA money until they contact me and payments begin, how do I know where to send the NT money? If they don’t get in touch for another few months or I am ED (I wish!), how to I pay the money to them if they haven’t been in touch?

I’m worried the tax man will chase me or that I’m doing something wrong and have misunderstood…

They get paid to a company called "Moon Beaver" now.

(I know............. daft name............ :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:).

Your OR has to instruct them to contact you to collect the payments. If they have done this then contact your OR and tell them.

Keep the NT code money until you you have instructions on who and how to pay.

your tax code will revert to normal in 2 months....

Not always, mine didnt and i had to chase up my local tax office to inform my work to change it back so beware.
