Submitting Tax Forms Online - how to prepare a rough draft?

I wonder if you can help. In the past I have used TaxCalc, and more recently Digita, to calculate my tax before completing the IR forms online. However, I note that this is not possible this year as TaxCalc does not include the relevant pages and Digita is only available free online. My question is, is it possible to use the Digita or IR online system to calculate tax and then make amendments before submitting? It will take me a while to trawl through the paperwork before completing the forms and I therefore may have to come back to sections before submitting. Are the entries tracked before you actually submit? (a few years ago I made a mistake in which box I entered information, resulting in an overpayment, therefore want to double check all figures before submitting and am a little wary of entering data online, rather than on my desktop).

I understand that Digita's version is included in MS Money 2005 - does anyone know if there is a free trial available of MS Money 2005 (or indeed Digita Deluxe) online? Seems a shame paying out for the spoftware as I will only use it for two days before it will become redundant.

Many thanks

The IR system allows you to make amendments before you submit. It also allows you to save at any time before submission. Although registering is a bit of a bind, the direct system is fine.

Thank you - to get a rough idea I used Digita Taxsaver 2004 which I still had installed from last year (I discovered that you can save more than one tax file). I then completed the information on the IR site.
