How Do I Know How Much I Would Get Back From Each Cashback Site ?

I m new. Please help. I have been looking at cash back sites (IE Quidco) and i was wondering how you know exactly what you would get back from each of the different sites when you are shoppping. Each site says "upto " then an amount, or a percentage. Does this mean that if i spent £20 on a site advertising "upto" £10, that i would get £10 ??? How do you tell ?? I know i m probably overlooking the obvious, but would be glad of some help please

For some it means that the rate varies depending on what you purchase.
For example it may say 2% for DVDs, 3% for CDs, 7% for Books, and 10% for everything else.
It usually states on the cashback page for the retailer the terms and conditions for what you will get back.0
