quick one. i know that some people who are disabled can get a brand new free car by the state not sure if applies for children but maybe someone could give you some info through this website about this. to get another car is probably the best thing at mo. then you can deal with pensions...usually its best to get debts down first!
could you not do a nanny share with other mum to get pressure off? tax credits are available for this. i am told that it is worth getting a nanny if you have at least 3 kids as cost effective with the financial help you can get.
YOu will need to check up on all of these points as they are only ideas and i have not double checked all facts. hope this helps.JAMIEDODGER wrote:hi, i am currently a SAHM, and cannot work due to having a disabled child and a small baby. my plan is to re-start work once my youngest goes to school which will be september 2008. i am a single parent.
my question is this...i am really worried what will happen as i have no pension i am 32. i would like to start contribution something towards my retirement but not sure of the rules on this as i am currently on income support. i have an ISA (just opened last week so nil balance at mo). and i dont pay tax....
any suggestions or comment out there, thanks in advance0 -
the DLA mobility is either the money OR a car (i have one already) and the money would cover the loan repayments.
to be honest, i hadnt even thought of a nanny. many thanks.November NSD's - 70 -
At the momemnt your record is being covered by both HRP and Income Support NI credits, you are also receiving some State Second Pension due to you having a child under 6 and receiving HRP/Income Support.
You will continue to receive HRP until the 5/4 prior to the youngest childs 16th birthday and it will at worst, give you a chance of achieving a full pension when you get back in to employment.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
