I've just received an e-mail to say my e-mail address has been drawn to win a new Range Rover and 500,000.GBP. Seems a genuine Coventry address and doesn't ask for more than name + address which I can e-mail, fax or phone. Anyone else know anything? I was in Coventry a couple of weeks ago - could this be genuine? I'd love to think so!

did you enter anything when you was in coventry though? I could be wrong but I have always believed the saying "If it seems too good to be true then it IS too good to be true"!
If it is a scam I'm not sure what damage they can do with just your name, number and address - but I'd still be wary2010 Running Total - £8

yep its a scam, its doing the rounds just now, quite a few people have got this so called win, dont send any details!0

I've had a couple of those. Not sure what the scam is but I assume that if I'd been innocent enough to reply they'd have needed all sorts of personal info from me to 'validate' my win. Not to mention needing my bank details to pay in all that money.0

If you didn't enter any comp to win this prize, it's a scam thru and thru. I'm amazed at how easily people get taken in by the sound of big prizes when they never entered such a comp...

The next stage is they will recontact you and ask for a small administration payment, often under £20. They use excuses like 'it's to register the vehicle' or to 'set up a bank transfer'. For those who get hooked this normally leads to a request for bank details.
it's scam and should be reported here0
