1st time buyer & credit ratings

My daughter applied for a mortgage with Barratt to buy a house on a 75% - 25% scheme. She needed a £108,000 mortgage, but the mortgage advisor informed her she had too good a credit rating. How can she challenge this decision & what can she do to secure a mortage? She's in full time employment (as is her partner).

She could find a different whole of market broker
Never heard of a credit rating being too good that you get turned down for a mortgage!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks, not sure what they are up to. I don't want her to get a check on her credit rating because this may go against her. Perhaps, as you say, try another broker who is not thinking about profit!0
