How do I change my details on PAYE notice?

I received my PAYE notice for this year.
My address is still the old one (from June 08), and my name on it is Miss MJ Durkin-Rose (which is an unofficial alias from before I was old enough to change "Rose" to "Durkin" by deedpoll back in 1999.) All of my previous coding notices had Miss M Durkin on it.
I keep going in circles on the HM revenue and customs website trying to find out who to contact to update my address and have my proper name put on my coding notice.
I tried ringing the local tax office 0845 number to find out who to contact but after 2 mins of navigating the menu it hangs up due to high call volume.
Can anyone help? Can I just send the tax office a letter?

Yes ... and it's probably the easiest / safest way to do it for a change of designatory data such as a name / address. Write to the office specified on the P2 (Coding Notice) and quote the Reference that also appears on there. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
