Hello and Welcome betterlife,
That depends on your local county court. Each court handles bankruptcies one of two ways - an appointment system or a walk in service. You will need to ring them and find out which system they use. The clerk will tell you the times and make you an appointment if neccessary.
Posters are being offered anything between the next day and 2 months.....
it all depends.
This may sound vague, but it is how it happens.

I was originally given just over a 10 week wait for court, though I rang every week asking for a cancellation and eventually went in 5 weeks earlier.
I rang for a friend on monday and he was given mid april (12 weeks).
Depends on where you're applying I suppose. I believe some places are simply "walk in a mess/walk out BR". I've also been told the courts are un-surprisingly very busy with BR given current climate.
If someones sure they want to take the path, I'd get immediate advice and immediately book a court date. If you're going through CAB, book a CAB meeting, then immediately book a court date for after the CAB meeting. The court date can always be cancelled if CAB disagree with your decision.
If you've got the cash for court, chase cancellations ...!!! get it over and done with, rather than going through the worry whilst waiting ...!!!0 -
I asked my court on Monday and she said she could get me in before the end of the month!!!!!!!!!! I said no sorry not enough time to prepare, so she offered me Friday 13th February!!!!!!!!!! we agreed the 12th Feb!0

Don't think I'd want to be in court on Friday 13th... walk in expecting to petition for bankruptcy and end-up getting your cases mixed-up and find out you've just been found guilty of single-handedly masterminding the Brinks Mat gold robbery.
I'm in Gloucestershire, was offered 9am the next day, agreed on 9.30am next Monday. I guess our court either has more staff or less people needing to go BR.0 -
This time next year there will be a six month waiting list, I haven't kept my BR a secret from my family friens and work colleagues, im not ashamed, it tool a lot of courage, but to my surprise they are all asking me loads of questions now, and admitting they too are in despair, just goes to show!!!!!!!!!!0
