What did you wear to Court?

I know this may seem soooo unimportant to some but vain as I am, I just wondered what those of you who have had your BR hearing wore to court?
Esp the ladies

Just wondering if I have to look smart, or looking rough might play more in my favour
Money, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world.

    A judges wig.

I just went in tidy jeans, shirt, v-neck jumper. Had a jacket/coat on, which I never took off (it was over so quickly). I got the impresion that there was no need to impress.

  • I'm planning on going smart casual - black trousers and nice top. Not a suit r anything like that though, just something I would wear to work xx

Me - black trousers and shoes and a blouse - coat over the whole lot and never took the coat off - so I doubt it matters really - unless the court is really warm and you have to take your coat off.

    Donna :D

just a tip tho! I forgot to take any rubbish out of my handbag! :o had an old sweetie wrapper in there, think the security woman saw too! :o

yes i suppose there are much worse things to have tucked away in your handbag...... I just got the feeling that she didn't want to investigate too deeply in case of what else she might find! :rotfl:

  • Oh no, this has got me worried now! I like to make an effort when going out, and wearing a suit-and-tie helps me feel a bit more confident, which is something I will certainly need help with when turning up at court. I don't have anything too flashy, just a decent suit from Next, nice crisp shirt, sharp tie and shiny shoes. I'm not going to make the court think I'm a flash Bobby Dazzler who's rung up a ton of debts on fast cars and loose woman am I? Should I gather a few quid together and get a plain jumper and some discount jeans from TKMaxx? I wasn't worried before I read this!!!

    PockettMoney,
Hi - I am not sure why you are worried - I think we are all saying that anything goes, within reason..... suit and tie would be fine (for a man!) lol
Just leave the Roller at home!

Don't worry PM, I would just wear (if I was a bloke that is :rotfl: ) a pair of trousers and a shirt - don't worry about a tie and then put a jumper over it if it is cold. don't buy anything specially - it is unlikely you will be there very long and you may not even see the judge!
