P60 from private pension providers but as SRP isn't subject to income tax no P60 is necessary.

We have a Halifax private investment plan which pays quarterly income. We are told the income is taxed without further liability, but wonder if hmrc expect us to add the paid tax onto these payments, to gross them up so to speak?

HMRC expect you to provide them with gross figures - where applicable. But I'm unsure of the status of the plan you refer to ... so wouldn't hazard as to whether it's relevant to gross it up. You may need to query that with Halifax initially.

When you are on a pension including pre state retirement age occupational pension do you get a P60 or equivalent to show how much you have "earned" and tax paid?

Yes. (having read it very carefully - as I initially read you were referring to the State Pension - which is taxable but paid gross. You will get a change statement for the State Pension showing payment for the following year - but no P60). But all occupational pension providers should give you a P60 (prior end May)
