Ah, so nice to be back! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Well did anyone get lucky in the Grand National - Mon Mome came in at 100-1. I only had a virtual bet on Racecaller and my horse came 6th - Big Fella Thanks. I'm sure I've bet on that one before.

Has anyone noticed that bubbles911 is now top of the "Most Visited Personal Pages" on Racecaller. So Congratulations bubbles911 and good luck in Racecaller and with PiggyPoints for this month.

Being a man it sounds like one of those made up statements in a pub where men say "men have more brain cells" and women say "but women use more of thier brain" (because obviousely if the extra brain cells are unused they use a higher percentage if the same ammount of the rest of the brain is used) and both people are right.. makes you wonder who thought up that statement a man or a woman?

it was a woman, and she actually commented on the findings saying 'if men have to have 18% more to live as normally as a woman so be it" or something :D they need all the help they can get :rotfl:

My wife drew Cirium in a sweepstake at work so she put a pound eachway one it and it came 5th. We were going to do our horses down the local bookies Betfred but I heard John on the morning Line shame all the bookies that were only paying the first 4 places so did all our bets with Totesport on the net and took board prices of 500 to 1 on it. Paid out £126.00

I found 2nd 3rd and 4th in my Trifecta bet but Mon Mone ruined that for me.

Well somebody found on Racecaller and after some big Winners selected by others it is catch us if you can for the year let alone month.

My prediction of really big prices has certainly come true.

    27/03/09

It's a peculiar part of the racing season now Lincoln meeting this weekend and then the National (big prices will be around) I had beginners luck last year and lost interest a bit (personal reasons) but in front all the way.
CONGRATULATIONS to Bubbles too most read page over 50,000 hits now:T

Thanks Koala and Knightowl. Cant believe he is that popular! 50,000 is unreal especially as he had 62 2 weeks ago before I added his picture! In a way though I'm sad to have overtaken the pearce as he is a legend and am always dumbfounded that he appears to have given up when he was so good. Unfortunatly although the national was a good day for him with a 25/1 and comply or die at work and backing it to win slightly I did ok but cant believe someone got 100/1 right. Just shows the national anything can happen. About 20 years ago a horse was right at the back and went to win it at 100/1 because all the others fell and went down like skittles, anything can happen so congrate to everyone and thank you so much, hope I can return the favour although its really bobby not me. Does it make up for getting his bits done (had no choice, cancer)?

forgot to say welcome back, cant believe I survived a weekend and I dont spend much! Must say thought I have spent a lot but had very good reasons. thats why I need this place! Never do it again Martin!

are we taking bets that *Kirsty* will be top trotter again next week?? :D

and congrats to anyone who got Mon Mone..the one flippin' year I don't do my usual ew bet on a top, middle and rank outsider (ie: between 70 and 100/1)..a 100/1 shot wins...grrrrr....

As far as I am aware the last national winner at 100/1 was foinavon in 1967. Which is what I think you maybe reffering too, although I doubt you are that old. I backed The winner of the 1989 national Little polvier @ 100/1 during the second week of February 89 in Bognor Regis @ 100/1 when it went on to win @ 28/1. I was only able to put £5 EW on it because my dear wife would not let me put £50 to win on it. I had to wait until september to collect the winnings as we lived in Germany at the time and went to a family wedding in Hastings. I ended up spending £62000 that weekend because we bought a house.
