Interesting documentary about crimes committed by middle-class families to sustain their lifestyles.
I was amazed by this guy, seemingly boast in front of television, that he has no intention to pay the credit card debts (40k-50k), parking fines and made false claims on his car insurance. He still continue to indulge in champagne and lobsters.
Another lady (ex-tax inspector), apparently bored, went on burglary sprees and find excitement each time she do it.
There are also white-collar crimes involving pocketing company moneys via cheques and cash.

Interesting? Not really. Chewing gum TV. We saw bits of it, and the gist was, "sometimes, middle class people commit crime!"
Well, diddly-do.
Next week's shock programme - "Popes tend to be catholic!"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
White collar crime is not really a crime is it. You just have to go for a holiday for a bit in an open prison - Ask Jeffrey Archer.0

I sat and laughed. One wasn't even so-called 'middle class'. They even stooped low enough to talk about parking tickets, easy middle class target as they actually drive cars to work. You don't see many yobbos getting parking tickets, or being chased up.
Absolutely hilarious. If they are going to find some middle class crime, they should find some real criminals. It didn't put the point across at all.Thought processes can be managed positively, so that they help you to achieve what you want, rather than hindering your judgement.0 -

He was in Belmarsh at least some of the time - that's not a very nice place....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Did he do some time in Belmarsh, or did Jeffrey say he did some time there?.
It's not unreasonable to say he's told a few porkies in the past."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
He used to be Pope.......apparently.0

While I share your scepticism about him in general, he was in Belmarsh:

I'm really law-abiding. I wouldn't sleep ... I don't even nick stationery from work.
Fear of breaking rules and adherence to all rules is the fundamental belief of my lifestyle and understanding.
But then I'm not middle class.
I did work for a company once, a ponzi scheme. My role was to set it up, write the software specification, work with the developer to get the software up/running and tested, I did all the banking etc, while the Directors swanned about buying Mercedes and eating out a lot.
What they did was built it up until it had £250k in the bank (late 80s), then empty the bank and do a runner.
It was a pyramid selling investment scheme, which needed a product to make it legal, so they "sold" their magazine as the product that legalised the scheme. Obviously it was illegal to do a runner with the money though0 -
Did your last pay cheque bounce?0
