Well the Co-op have provided excellent service

Take note John Lewis

I was given a time slot for delivery of between 10am and noon, and it arrived five minutes ago!

A big :T to the Co-op and a :embarasse to John Lewis

If the Co-op can do this in 2 days, why does it take John Lewis 18 days?

I have ordered from John Lewis online several times in the last six months- mostly large items - a pair of sofas, a washing machine and a dishwasher - I noticed that the online order indicated that the items in each case came from my nearest John Lewis store - about 20 miles away. These came when they should have, delivered in the green and white John Lewis van.I really do think you have been very unlucky with Wincanton and John Lewis should seriously consider using someone else in your area.

Just wanted to say I went on to order a tumble dryier, it was deliverd by the John Lewis guys and the service was fantastic, they were on time installed it for me ans were very polite x

I bought my sons blazer instore from them and it was then sent by them to have some braid sewn on. they rang a week later to say it was ready and I said I would pick it up two days later. However, the following morning it was delivered by a John Lewis van at no charge.
Saved me the petrol and parking charges.:j

We order a clock on a Friday and a 32" LCD TV on the Saturday - both arrived on the following Wednesday.

Unfortunatly the online service of John Lewis is not actually manned by JLP staff, it is a contracted service, it is meant to be the same as the store, but sometimes the service is not as good.

Hi KentGirl. Even though the delivery is done by Wincannot, your contract is with JLS. Give them the grief, they will pass it on! I have some 'backdoor' numbers for wincannot, the electrical stuff all comes out of the Rugby distribution centre. Gloucester and Trafford park are mainly temp. reg. operations. They are not shutting down completely, just merging these operations with another company. A sneaky note is that if you know someone who works for them ( 25000+ employees ) try to get your stuff through them. Wincannot have a staff discounted scheme with stonking savings. I got a tumble dryer for £185 delivered, bit of hassle but worth it for a condensor. Mrs C was over the moon. Hope this helps...
