Own home scheme

Hi
Does any one know any more information about the 'Own Home' scheme run by Places for people and housing options. As I understand it in terms of property it works in a similar manner to Mychoice homebuy, when you can find a home yourself.

My situation is that I would like to buy a 50% share of a my partners house from their father (presently they both own the property) but the only way I could do this is through a shared ownership scheme, or Own home. Do we think this is possible. I have looked into what the 50% share is and how much mortgage i can get with own home and it works but how feasible is buying only a share with these kind of schemes.

Thanks
