Hi
I think you might struggle with that SOA. It appears you are spending more on your car than on your debts and more on petrol than food?
What you do need is to pm 10past6 and post up pics of the default letters as s/he can tell you if they are legal or not.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi, thanks for your reply
im not sure how i can reduce the car running costs
insurance is £500 per year
petrol is £10 per week
road tax is £185 yearly
and mot / other costs is approximatly £50 + £45 per year
food costs is just stuff like when i need to buy milk bread and go out with friends etc..
should i post an image of the default letters here?
i'll pm 10past6 too

Hi
Can you PM me te default notice please?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
Hi
Ive got an update, HSBC sent me a letter today which is a Final Demand, saying I need to pay the full amount or come to a satisfactory repayment plan within 14 days or they will pass this on to a debt collector or solicitors or taken to court.
Barclaycard called me the other day and said they are dealing through mercers collections and that i need to pay the full amount or ~£45 per month (which i can not afford) or they may get a door step collector to come around.
I told them both that im not trying to avoid paying the debt and that i understand it is money i owe, but i can not afford to pay what you are asking for. I can just about afford the proposals i have sent to you. But they wernt interested.
I think mercers said they will only agree the proposal if its a debt management paid through an agent (like payplan etc..)
im wondering how i should proceed with this now
any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you have done all the right things with contacting your creditors. :T
You have a lot of non-essentials on your SoA. why are you paying for all of the net connection and landline if you live with your parents, are you under contract with these? Could you get one of the new £6 broadband connections, or use the local library/ job centre etc. for a while? Do you need a mobile phone and landline for one person? Can you get rid of the car and use public transport? People on benefits are often entitled to discounted bus travel. Why are you budgeting £540 a year for personal grooming when you are worrying about your debts? Get your hair cut at the local college, buy toiletries from £1 shops and clothes from Primark or charity shops.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Hi, thanks for your input
I am in contract with the broadband, and the land line is essential for the broadband, nobody uses the phone line except for the internet. The mobile phone is used for the phone calls which I need. (ive also managed to reduce this slightly by negotiating with my ISP)
The car is required for family needs and for myself, shopping, family chores (& also while im not in employment)
Clothes, toiletries, food haircuts as far as im aware are essential living expenses (which ive cur down drastically)
I didnt think colleges do free haircuts besides i would need to be a student to be entitled to this?
HSBC are one of the creditors which said they can not accept any payment proposals from me because the job seekers allowance (£240) i am getting is purely for living expenses. I am still paying though
Ive cut down a lot since being out of work, such as sky services, hobbies, gym memberships etc..
