Anyone recommend a garage in Reading??

Hi all,

It's coming up to Service and MOT time again and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good garage in the Reading area. Last year, I decided to do my service and MOT at different garages (after different paydays) and I got ripped off by a well known garage chain.

I don't mind going independent, just so I know they're trust worthy.

I use Woodley Auto Centre - Unit 6, Headley Park 10, Headley Road East, Woodley, Berks, RG5 4SW. Tel: 0118 9440009.
I have been using them for year, for servicing, repairs and MOT.
I have no vested interest. No recommendation is implied and non should be inferred.

Hi i dont know your area but we have our cars MOT'd by the local authority. We take them to the place where they service all the local authority vehicles, they are authorised to carry out the MOT but because they cannot do the repairs they have no vested interest in getting work out of you.

I've contacted the Council and they don't have an approved MOT garage in Reading.

That was the first place I looked.

Might be a bit far away, but down the A33 towards Basingstoke, think it's in Chisholm, there used to be an ace garage called the Saab Man? Doesn't just do Saabs either.

BUT I haven't lived down there for 8 years.
