Loan payments to family

I watched 'Bust' last night and was horrified that relatives can be harrassed if you have repaid them - though can understand if it is in preference to other creditors.
Last year we made payments to CCCS for three months and payments to a relative for five months. We still owe the relative around 20k. Does this mean the OR will go after them for the extra two months payments we made to them?
The relative we paid is long term seriously ill and on DLA. I couldn't bear the idea of them being hounded.
In fact it has worried me so much I have been re-doing our budget overnight and seeing if there is any way we could re negotiate with all our creditors.
I only completed all our BR forms yesterday and between us, including the relative, we owe £132,000.
It would take us years to pay it back, but I cannot allow my relative to be harrassed, I don't think her fragile state of health would cope with it.

I think its unlikely they would chase then for just 2 months payments to be honest but you never know. I would in the first instance talk to you relative and explain your situation and make them aware if it was me i would then say to you not to worry as i would stand my ground which is what i think happened on Bust and they are unlikely i think to persue someone ill and on dla.
I would urge you not to be put off going BR just because of this as with the money you owe its unlikely that things wont get much worse so if i was you i would just get on with your BR and ensure you let the OR know the condition of your relative when you come to your interview.
Just remember people will always be on here to help and we will be with you every step of the way and we have been there. I have 105k debt so i know how you must be feeling and dealing with.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:
