 Has no-one really mentioned this already? If so, apologies. 4 cans of Hollandia beer for 90P. Now, I know its only 3%, and normally that would mean watery swill, but this is actually quite reasonable, and if we ever have a summer would be fine for barbies, etc., or any gathering where the object is not to get blotto asap. By the way, I did check my till receipt this time, and yes, it is 90P, or in pounds, £0.90....

Is it the cool filtered stuff? Thats the only one i know of being 3%, if so what is it like? The normal Hollandia is really nice. The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

Yes, I think so. No good for the headbangers who insist on nothing less than 5%, but a reasonable cold beer nonetheless, and hard to believe at 90P. Wonder how long it will last at that price.0 -
Im sitting here drinking a can of this now and it's actually quite pleasant. It is the cool filtered stuff Dime Bar.
I just checked the Asda home shopping website and in the standard lager section it's listed under "Smartprice", so maybe this is replacing the smartprice cans? (which i would of never picked up tbh lol)
You can't go wrong for 22p a can!0 -
I always remember a couple of years back when me mate gave me a fiver to pop round the supermarket to get some beer for a friends party.
I bought him 4 bottles of Stella for £3.99, and with the change I bought him 4 cans of Tesco Value Lager (registering all of 2% I believe in the volume ranks) as a joke
He looked with me at total disgust when I bought them round, that even when he finished drinking his Stella, he would not touch the Tesco's stuff.
Two years on, the person whose party it was still has the unopened cans in his fridge, unable to bear the thought of cracking one of them open

Thanks OP. I bought some of these for OH and he tried one last night..I didn't tell him they were only 90p but when I asked what the beer was like, he said it is allright.
Guess what beer he will be getting from now on :rotfl:0 -

Now, that is downright sneaky! Mind you, perhaps serves him right for not taking more interest in his beer! Also means he won't fall over quite so often!:T0 -
