Unusual ideas for our wedding reception venue?

Hi,
We're struggling to find the right place to have our wedding reception, which is reasonably priced. We're getting married in June 2010, have booked our church (St. Peters, Doddington, Lincoln) but have ran out of ideas for the reception venue. We don't want to spend around £5000 to have it in one of the main venues in Lincoln - such as all the big hotels/halls, our idea is to have it as cheap as possible in a more 'homely' place.
Ideally we would like a place where we could do as much of the decoration etc. ourselves, for the meal we have someone who would provide us with a hog roast.. we just need the venue to put it in! I did think of putting a marquee in my parents garden, however, I'm not sure they would appreciate that.. with all of the cleaning the following day.
Another idea we had was to have it in an old barn.. however, after doing a search on google.. I can't find any barns in Lincolnshire! If anyone has any other ideas on where we could have our reception, not too pricey.. then they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
