Faulty but no receipt.

I bought my son a blow up couch from argos on-line for xmas.
We ahve only just got round to blowing it up:o and have found it has a puncture.
Now i know you can take things back to the store form on-line purchases using the sticker on the parcel wrapper but i have chucked that but the box has a sticker with a bar code on it do you think this would be acceptable?

the bar code wont mean anything to argos - does it have a catalogue number? if so, they will probably replace it for you...
since you bought it online, i assume you paid by card - if you have the card statement (or can print off a copy) then that counts as definite proof!

Did you get an email confirming your purchase? If so print this off and take it in. Ive did that a few times and it works as a receipt as it is but an online one. xx

  • Call customer services. They will arrange for a replacement to be delivered and collection of the faulty one free of charge. Much easier than trying to get a replacement/refund in store with no reciept!

The bar code is on a sticker that argos have put on before sending it has other letters on it also.
I paid with my argos card and it doesn't list each item bought individually and i don't have a printer so can't print off the email.
