Clarins Beauty Flash Balm copycat products?

Hi There,
I've never tried the clarins flash balm but have heard & read many a glowing review of it. Has anyone else discovered / tried out other similar products that work well like the clarins product, but for a cheaper price?

I think I saw a boots No.7 version the other day, but didn't have enough time to test it.

Suggestions & opinions appreciated - Cheers!

  • Have just bought a Clarins gift set from Boots. It was £28.00 (ish) and should have been £43.00. It includes a full size flash balm, a hand cream, a body scrub, a body lotion and a facial moisturiser. Cant find it online but it may be worth calling in your local Boots.

I've heard in the past that Clarins make M&S beauty products, so their version of beauty flash balm should be as good as the real thing.

I haven't tried it mind, as I had a sample of Clarins flash balm, and didn't think it did much for me. Maybe I've got an odd skin tone or something but thought it made me look worse rather than better!

Superdrug do their own product that is said to be very similar. I have used both and found them equally as brilliant. It's been 3-4 years though so i don't know what it's called or if they still do it. It used to be in a silver tube of similar siza and shape to the Clarins with little green trees on the picture. HTH.

I love Beauty Flash Balm. I have Marks & Sp night cream (in jar with blue lid) which I love but haven't tried any other product for flash balm. Great stuff

  • marks and spencer do one. similar packaging. allegedly, they are made in the same factory.
  • Yeah, the M&S one is under £10 on their website. Might give it a go for that price. :)
  • Thanks guys. After speaking briefly to a clarins assistant in boots tonight, I didn't realise that it's basically a primer for makeup application (doh!). I'm already planning on giving something else a trial as a primer, so headed off to M&S & bought their 'Formula Instant Fix Beauty Radiance Balm' for £7.50......will give a try & see what it's like along with the other stuff! :)
  • Hi, the Clarins beauty flash balm can be used as a make up primer but also as a mask treatment on its own, that's why it is so versatile...many uses.

I just wanted something to add a bit of 'glow' with or without makeup over the top. I had been using Boots Botanics radiance glow cream but they had run out. Got some stuff from the Barbara Daly range at Tesco...not sure of exact name other than 'glow' but is in a small pot only £4 and was great as a highlighter.

I haven't any Clarind BFB left but the difference with that to other products I found was it's tightening ability! I am sure it literally plumped up my face and was always a must have when i had a hangover!!!

I've tried the clarins and superdrug one years ago but never noticed any difference in my skin. Maybe now i'm older i'll try the superdrug one again, keep hearing people rave about this products and i'd hate to think i'm missing out.....
