RTLU on Insolvancy website and a few questions! - UPDATED

I've just looked on the insolvancy website as I needed the address of the OR office to send them something and its changed to RTLU Southwest.

What does this mean?

Do I continue to inform my OR office of any changes? The guy Ive been dealing with is so nice and helpful!

One other thing, my H has now got a job and will be contributing to the household more (Woohoo!). He'll be paid approx £200 at the end of Jan then a full wage at the end of Feb.
Do I need to tell them about the 200 this month, the thing is he really needs to pay his cc so will be using it for that so not adding to household finances. He is not BR. On the SOA his contribution is £60, so can I leave it like that as hes stopped JSA and now has wages?

Am I right in saying that I've got 21 days after he receives it to inform them?

I've not got an IPA and if this RTLU thing means discharge fairly soon then I kind of want to tell them as late as I can!!!

Right I called my OR man and he was away so I rang the RTLU.

They said that becasue I'm on a nil tax code and I am paying Moon Beever, that is classed as an IPA. Once we get to the end of the tax year they then will take that money and decide if any of it go to my creditors.
Quick question: does that mean that in effect people that are put onto a nil tax code dont pay tax, Moon Beever collect it and then give it to the RTLU who distribute it to creditors, rather than Moon Beever just collecting tax and giving it to the government????

So I've not got to do anythinng. I asked if there were changes in my income do I tell him or the old guy and he said I could ring him.

  • well, i dont have any assets, or a house or an IPA so I wonder why??
The only thing I had was my car which they exempted for me.

When I called him before Christmas he said that at the end of Jan/Beg feb that i would recieve somehing from him re early discharge. Is this the start of the process do you think? He said that they could probably use the SOA they already have and that i didnt need to do anything, since then H has got this job so it will need to change a bit.

You're right though Dalip, once i know what if I need to I'll post up a new SOA for some tips!!
  • the only IPA I have si my tax going to Moon Beever. The form I filled in for that was an IPA form iirc

I can not remember who it was(my age:o )but there was a poster a while back who spotted that the had been transferred to the RTLU on the IS website, when they inquired about it,it was a mistake.

I know when i got transferred i had a letter saying all correspondance should be with them not with my OR.

No your tax does not go to the government for the time you are on the NT code IPA. As RTLU have said at the end of the financial year they will see how much you have paid and then most likely pay it all to the IS, to pay for your BR. If there happens to be any left then it will be given to youe creditors. But if you think about it the IS is essentially a government body so you are paying some thing to the government, just a different department :D
