Hi all,
I have two mobile contracts id like to include in my BR.
How do i list these on the creditor section, should i contact o2 and ask them for settlement amounts or just multiply the number of months left by the line rental and list that figure.
All help is appreciated.

You could do either and if it's wrong, it will get sorted out. I guess, however, the best option would be to ask O2 for settlement figures, but don't tell them why, just in case they throw a wobbly.
I was on a massive contract with O2, but they let me reduce the tariff without extending the contract term, so if you needed to keep one of them, it should be possible. If, on the other hand, you're in arrears with them, it might not be worth it.0 -
I wondered about this. At the time of my bankruptcy, I had 5 months left on a T-Mobile contract which was discounted to less than £15 a month. However, to cancel, I would've been charged over £200 so I opted to keep it to save the hassle. I was also concerned about losing my number which is a premium number.
Personally, I think cancelling the contract and putting the final figure would be a safer bet as O2 may allow you to keep the contracts post bankruptcy and therefore you'll still be tied to them. If you cancel the contract, it's cancelled and the final amount owed will just form part of your bankruptcy. The only thing I would say is that the OR may be suspicious if you've only recently taken out these contracts for new handsets or free gifts. You might be able to justify it if you show you had no idea of your insolvency and that you were simply trying to reduce your future outgoings.0
